Four similar dining-chair cushions can return from spot cleaning in a different order. A placement photo and simple chair names preserve the arrangement without assuming the cushions are interchangeable.
Name the seats from one viewpoint
Stand at the room entrance or another fixed viewpoint. Name the chairs clockwise: window-left, window-right, kitchen-right and kitchen-left—or use numbers 1 through 4. Put a removable paper number on the floor behind each chair for the setup photo, not on the cushion fabric.
Photograph the whole dining set, then take one close image of each cushion on its assigned seat. Capture any visible orientation, texture direction and attachment position. Do not detach anything until the map is complete.
Make a four-row return map
| Chair | Cushion cue | Front direction | Cleaning status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | _____ | _____ | _____ |
| 2 | _____ | _____ | _____ |
| 3 | _____ | _____ | _____ |
| 4 | _____ | _____ | _____ |
Clean and return one at a time
Follow the actual product and care-label instructions. If practical, work on one cushion, let it reach the condition required by those instructions and return it before starting the next. This prevents a stack of four unlabelled pieces.
If all four must be removed together, place each in a separate labelled clean area. Never attach pins, adhesive labels or ink directly to the cushion unless the care guidance says it is safe.
Use the same map after a room rearrangement: update the whole-room photograph first, then rename the chairs before removing any cushion. Do not keep an old “window-left” label after that chair has moved to the opposite side, because a stale map is harder to detect than no map.
If guests move chairs during a meal, restore chair positions before comparing the cushion photos. The map identifies seat-and-cushion pairs; it does not imply the furniture must remain fixed forever.
After return, recreate the room-view photo and compare front direction and placement. The Textured Chair Seat Cushions Set of 4 is the verified four-piece reference. Do not transfer its quantity, dimensions, closure details or care directions to another set.
